I am looking to buy a tactical seat back storage cover. I found some that G.E.A.R make but everything is all for a Jeep. Here is an example:

Does anyone on here have something similar to this that they use? I want to store stuff for when I go offroading like a small foldable shovel, machete, axe/hactchet etc...

Would you want it a seat cover like that one? or just the back panel?

I would like it to just be the back of the seat and somehow hang off the head rest with a strap at the bottom to hold it to the seat as well. I want the front of the seat to stay the way it is.

Cool those were my thoughts too. I can't drive ( not supposed to anyways unless abasolutely necessary) to get materials right now, but I'll start getting measurements and stuff together now and see what i can come up with. Once done I'll post pics of it. if you like it we can figure out a color price and all that. sound good? At least the backing....then you can purchase whichever pouches you want. if you can't find a punch for what you want we can talk about that too

gotta see how it turns out first lol....

all the pouches on the G.E.A.R. can be purchased individually ( not through them but other places). I have most of those on my military gear

Heck yea, I am down!! Basically Im looking for the picture I provided, just not how it wraps around to the front of the seat. Sounds like you have a good idea and am stoked you wanna take this on!!!! Even though I just bought all my suspension parts and new wheels and tires, I am almost more excited about this!! :kona::jellydance::bananadance::broccoli::dancingbacon::locked::taco:

Whatever the design, it need to be slightly contoured and rigid to fit snug against the seat back so that it does not droop down... and held firmly in place. Anything less would bug the crap out of me.
I have a cheap Amazon one just so my son's feet don't screw up the cheap Toyota fabric but it's like saggy tits.

Yes I agree...already took the drooping in to account. I HATE that. The part that will be the hardest will be securing it to the seat....but i have a few ideas for that.

Exactly my thought. I dont really want anything to go on the front of the seat to change the way it already feels. Having just the back piece made that still contours and gets attached to the back of the seat will be spectacular. I have alot of stuff I want to store in the truck but I want to keep it readily available as well for whatever arises and this will be perfect for that need!

    Bright pink truck nuts.
I was thinking of it more like a hiker's backpack. A few well-placed semi-rigid metal rods sewn into it could help hold the contour of the seat without creating a ton of extra work. That'd provide support to the middle while straps at the top and bottom hold it to the seat.

I already have material in mind to make it rigid. my biggest issue that I'm looking at is mounting it. once i can actually move around more with my knee I'll be out looking at my truck to figure that out. once I've done that i should be good. just need to get all the material and get to work.

I'm thinking of making the pouches too.....those aren't too hard just time consuming.
