New to the forum here. Just got a 2022 White Tundra SR5 (4x2). I love it so far. I plan on powder coating the stock SR5 wheels (black) and adding Toyo Open Country AT3 tires. Will a 275-70r18 fit without any rubbing on the stock suspension?? Didn't know if anyone is running that size tire on stock suspension. Thanks in advance!

Yes. I have stock suspension with 275/70/18 Cooper AT3 XLT. Plenty of space for sure and love the setup. Much more aggressive look than oem tire size and till handles well. I'd love to see the powder coated sr5 wheels on a white tundra! Post pics!

Thanks for the information! Almost went with the Coopers myself! It will probably be next week but I will definitely post a pic once the powdering coating is complete.

That looks fantastic! Perfect balance of low key aggression and still highly practical use with the 18”. Powder coating is such a smart upgrade vs buying new wheels too, or if you bought a snazzy set but need winters and don’t want it to look like a company vehicle half the year;) Beauty truck dude!

Nice, super clean!!! Agree with what FortyNorth said. I love the balance between low key aggression without veering too far from OEM look/ride. Thanks for posting!

I was thinking of doing the same but didn’t have spare wheels to put on. Was thinking a gun metal color. Did you happen to weigh the stock wheel?

Are you planning on putting any spacers? Do you think a 285 wide tire would fit the wheel?

I didn't weigh the wheel and I'm not sure about the 285. I wanted something that didn't require any suspension modifications but had a little more aggressive look. The shop I used let me leave the truck so I didn't need an extra set of wheels (dropped it off Wednesday morning and picked it up Thursday afternoon). I liked the stock SR5 wheels just wanted them in black.

Damn that’s slick. It’s definitely something I am considering. I was about to pull the trigger on a set of black rhinos, and I may have to seriously reconsider that

Powdercoating looks good! I opted for new Method 316's w bfg ko2's (275/70/18).

Was also curious the weight difference between the wheels. Looked up the 316 specs, 24.5 lbs. Retrieved one of the sr5 alloys from the garage and dropped it on the shipping scale... 29.5 lbs
