If I want to add a Entune Premium GPS Navigation Radio to my Tundra. What do I need to get as a head unit? And what is the difference in the Entune Plus?

Better off just going aftermarket. Technology isn’t really backwards compatible with these trucks. You would need the unit, the gps antenna, the hardware, firmware, and all new wiring harnesses.

My understanding is different than yours?

I am led to think that the radio upgrade is just plug and play aside from needing a GPS antenna and Sat antenna if not there already.

I have no Audio Steering Wheel Controls anyway so I am not sure why the firmware would need to change but then that should be pretty simple to do either way.
I also think that the Harness are the same unless I see otherwise which I have not?

Now I can understand going aftermarket for other reasons for sure but the one sticking point for me is that there is no actual VC knob on any of the real premium brand radio upgrades where they just make the screen bigger while getting rid of the Volume Control Knob that I know I need in a truck radio.

I can't say any of this for sure yet though as I havent found a radio to buy and try yet.

The reason why I asked is some reviews of the Entune GPS were pretty good in fact some users said they really liked it. One was in a Tundra Limited. From what I understood it was a swap of head units but I don't know if there is a need to do something other than that with the need of a VIN. I have an opportunity to get a head unit out of a 2017 which is my year really cheap but I wasn't sure if I needed to sync it somehow using the VIN.
