As someone who has been casually shopping Tundras lately I’m pretty pleased to see Toyota step up (I expected them to…eventually).

I’ve been hard shopping 2nd gen’s amid the 3rd gen engine issues, but now I may be adding the used 3rds back into the mix. Might be a great opportunity to pick up a lightly used 3rd at a good price before the values rise again as the public regains confidence with the engine replacement option out there.

The now infamous cam tower leak in the 5.7 was originally thought to only impact Alabama motors, but that changed too. The quality of some things might be better if manufactured in Japan, but not so the engines it seems.

Yes comrade. We must not the let people discuss what they are seeing amongst themselves. As the dear leader has taught us, the free flow of information is dangerous. Remember the minor reactor accident at Chernobyl and how rampant speculation caused a needless panic. The people must have only one source of truth. Whatever the Party holds to be the truth, is truth. It is impossible to see reality except by looking through the eyes of the Party.

Hyundai and Benz in AL has gotten caught umpteen times for child labor law violations. Maybe they need to upgrade engine cleaning to a job for at least 16 yrs old from now on

Send all the 12 year olds back to quality control where they belong.

I am not certain anyone will be in hot pursuit to purchase a Tundra even with a new engine.

Yep, they deleted it though. I'm sure that's where this thread and anything else discussing topics not officially sanctioned by Mike Swears is headed. Remember what happened to those that talked a little too loud about recovery hooks.

Where you been all these years? B-29s dropped them (in eggs) in 1945. They were mixed in with incendiaries and high explosive bombs. Set to hatch 50 yrs later. I read it on a truck forum.

What a ridiculously awful analogy. No one is squashing the free flow of information. There are multiple threads on every topic imaginable. Threads are shut down when (1) they devolve to regurgitated nonsense and personal attacks and/or (2) copyrighted info from Toyota is shared for which Toyota already sent a C&D letter.
This issue is not isolated to American made Toyotas. Lexus Australia recalled the LX600 for the same reason. Here’s a thread for you:
    https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/japanese-v35a-fts-bearing-issues.1338394/

    And, from your first link:
    IMG_5597.jpg
That’s plantS plural. As in more than one. Also, for the uninitiated, TMMTX is Toyota Texas, and TMC is Toyota Japan

They are also shutting the tundra plant down. Not sure why or what one or anymore to it. Or even when.

So, you're not only a shit stirrer, you're a lying shit stirrer. Did you honestly think we would forget your teary-eyed goodbye to the forum, just because the thread got deleted? Man up, stick to your word, and leave.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
I need to do some more memos from the desk of Mike Sweerg….
