My bed rail caps are pretty torn up from the previous owner because he had a tool box on them. The feel loose like I can slide them back and forth. They don’t feel like they are glued down. My question is. If I try and take them off will my bed rails just be the same color as the rest of my truck or will it not be painted? If there is adhesive or glue type material do I just use goo gone? I’d like to take them off as it’s the only rough part on the whole truck and it bothers me to look at. Or should I just replace them? I know on older trucks there were about a million holes underneath that they snapped into. Idk about the 3rd gens

You will want to buy new caps to replace them. I'm 99% sure there are a bunch of holes for the plastic tabs to snap in to....at least there were on my F150 that I replaced and I know the Tacomas and previous Tundra were the same....I think this one is the same too. Just look up the part numbers and that will tell you all you need to know.
