So - a couple questions on the audio in these trucks (yes, it's not the greatest, but I'm surviving).
    1. Do you lose the ability to adjust any of the etune stuffs with the truck when you go with a 3rd party unit (thinking the vehicle settings section with the OE unit)? Are there 3rd party options that allow you to keep those settings? Have people found it impactful loosing that option if it is lost?
    2. I don't plan on putting in a "full setup" (i.e. amp+sub) - I just want a headunit that has Android Auto (or whatever it's called now), and higher quality speakers. Do I need to consider the big 3/4 if I'm not going to add a stand alone app? i.e. if I go with the setup above, will I need to do the big 3/4?
    thanks!

No. With a quality aftermarket unit and a maestro harness, you lose zero oem functions but often gain aftermarket functions, like being able to pull and read diagnostic codes and have on dash gauges that the stock cluster doesn’t show.

    thanks @Danman34 !

Anyone have feedback guidance on the need of doing the big 3/4 if it's just an android auto supported head unit and higher quality speakers?

Not even remotely necessary. I’m running an all aftermarket system with a 1200 watt amp and 100x4 amp, an aftermarket in dash screen, a firestick, and two headrest monitors on stock electrical with zero issues.
