    Hello live in Central Maine previously owned 2006 tundra looking to purchase newer model need to know what years have had a lot of problems my 06 went through numerous ball joint replacements and ate tires even after front end alignments

    Welcome! Just check for the AIP recall on any 2nd-3rd gens.
    A few years (forget which - 2nd gens) had some power steering rack issues

    From my understanding, it was late 2010 and 2011 that had rack seal issues.

    Welcome! Toyota short-blocked my '08 @ approximately 50,000 miles due to some sort of wrist pin issue (sounded like a diesel). I believe it was a rare issue as I've never heard of anyone else who had the problem. However, Toyota did the work at no cost and I put over 200,000 miles on it after that until I got crunched by a crazy lady who tried to drive through the left side of my engine block.
