After the recall I have continued to have little glitches of false warnings, not as frequent but never the less present.
Two weeks ago it gave me a warning and my cruise control was out for over an hour on an 8 hour drive Miami to Tallahassee FL, stopped for a break and it was all good rest of the trip.
The following day it was out, inoperative 100%, got home pulled and reconnected and it’s been seemingly ok.
However I went on ahead and bought a brand new replacement unit, does the system require any recalibration when TSS grill sensor is replaced?

Why didn't you just bring it back to the dealership, it should still be under warranty?

Was it raining or bugs on the Toyota logo?

My 2018 the cruise is always going out after a while and now I’m getting the brake warning too. Been thinking of getting this recall done......just a little reluctant since I put on the pro grille.

I’m already out of warranty and in my area there are trust issues, I’m just curious if there is a calibration necessary when the sensor is replaced.

If you’re running a TRD PRO Grill, I hope it’s one for a 2019 and up which has the sensor relocated to a lower position.
Mine is stock grill for my Limited 4x4 and stock height.
I guess if it freaks out again I’ll install the new sensor.

Rudy, I think that is still covered under warranty. Suck that there is trust issues.
I don't think it needs to be calibrated.
Maybe @Roman can answer that question.

Hopefully it’ll get fixed. Also, if you hold the cruise on button down for a couple of seconds, it goes in to regular mode and doesn’t use the radar. You’ll at least still have cruise control even if your sensor goes out.

No....I have a 2017 pro grille. I bought my Tundra in 2018 so there was no 2019 pro grille. My sensor wiggled our before I swapped the grille....so I don’t think there is even a relation.
