I took my 2018 in for my 5k service and a software recall/update for emissions today and was told at the end that there is now an open recall on the TSS-P sensor. Sounds like it involves additional insulation/sealant either between the radome and the sensor, or on the radome itself. They had to order the part in, so I won't know for sure what's happening until I go back in to have the work completed. Figured I'd post here for any of you that have frequent issues with your sensors.

They will update the software and apply a sealer to the millimeter wave radar sensor in the front grill....the most important thing to know about this is that the parts aren't in stock yet and have to be ordered.

That's exactly it. Thanks for linking. I did a quick check for anyone else posting about this but missed that thread. Probably partially because of the typo making me think it was about Pokemon... And also because I've seen "koa" (K0A) and "kob" (K0B) referenced before, but didn't click when I saw it.

Had my 5000 mile service done also. The 2 computer updates were done. Had to order part for sensor. Best thing about this is they have to recalibrate the sensor and I just leveled the truck with 5100’s, so I shouldn’t have any problems with it.

I’m going to attempt to seal myself.....since I’m using a relocation bracket.

The sensor should be fixed or repaired regardless of how it’s fastened. But I’m just afraid to ask. I got on eBay and ordered the Same type of tape they use in the recall.

No. I went to test drive one last Friday and they told me there was a stop sale on all 19 tundras. Another dealer did let me test drive it but said recall would need to be fixed before driving home.

I know there was a post here somewhere mentioning the vent holes in the TSS sensor. My question is that if your sensor doesn’t have the vent holes in it do they still apply the sealer for the recall? I’m just concerned with the abilities of some of the dealerships.
