    Hello Guys,
Doing a mid life crisis overhaul on my beloved Phantom Gray DC.
I’m really wanting to use the factory heated set switches for this mod.
My truck didn’t have any factory wiring. So I’m on my own as for that.
The heated seat kit has a very nice wiring harness. Complete with a detachable
Low,Off, and High 3 position switch. I’m trying to “wire in” the factory switch into the
aftermarket kit. They both have exact same functions. Low, Off, and High.

The kit has 4 wires going to the switch, the factory switch has 6 wires.
I don’t know what I am doing here. Anyone have and insight?

Here's the FSM diagram for the pin outs on the switches.

    Thank you so much.
I looked over it and I’m a little less confused.
I have a few electrical friends that can help me.

I realized I didn't attach the second part. Basically coming out of the passenger factory switch use the black/white tracer wire to the high heating element, red/light blue tracer to the low, then ground the seat heater to wherever is convenient. Repeat on the drivers switch but the high there is the light green wire.

If you're truck didn't come with heated seats see if you can find a wrecked truck and get at least the switches and a 6 inch or so pigtail, that would make it easier.

I have a set of factory switches. I have a foot of pigtails on each left and right connector.
I did the continuity test. Both switches the 1-2 don’t test. I’m thinking that is the background lighting.
I can live without that. I also tested the low and high bulbs and ops check good.
So basically I’m using pins 3-4-5-6 only. Is that correct?

Correct. So you'll want the 12v+ output of your relay going to the light blue wire and a ground going to the white/black tracer in the pigtails.

I got the switches wired up to the kit harness. Tested it with a motorcycle battery.
Both low, and high functions and lights work. Had the Mrs. sit in the heat pads to confirm
Proper operation. She has some light charring and a wavy tattoo. Pictures coming soon.

I'm going to be wiring mine up this coming week and dont have the factory wiring in my DC either. I got some factory switches with a little bit of pigtail and I'd LOVE if you could share the wiring with me either here or by PM. Thanks!

Get the kit you are going to use. Once you get that, and lay it out, it seems much less scary.
Since you don’t have any factory wiring, you just use the wiring from the kit.
MAKE SURE your choice of seat heaters have 3 positions ONLY.
LOW, OFF, and High. Also I didn’t know how to wire up the background lighting
of the switch. You WILL get the low and High Factory switch illumination light.
Overall I’m very satisfied with the Dorman universal kit.
Rock auto has them for 33 each, Amazon has them for 45 a pop.

another poster sent me the Toyota factory wiring diagram and test procedure.
Will need an email because it’s a PDF

Gotcha, ok. I've already got the heaters installed, I was referring to the wires coming out of the switch corresponding to which function ign/gnd/high/low, but it looks like i can figure it out from the info up above. I'll update this week as I get the time to get back at it. How are your seats coming? You're doing a leather upgrade, right?

Oh yeah, I missed the PDF of the seat switches above - I should be all good! Thank you @Festerw! I'll be using the factory switch for my passenger heat and using the katzkin 6 position momentary switch and ecu fo the driver's heat/ventilated seat.

I remember blue ( pin 4) is the hot wire. Pins 1 and 2 are for backlighting. Thinking pin 6
is ground. That leaves 3 and 5. They are low and high, not sure which is which though.
