    Hi there,

We just bought our first truck for use as a two-vehicle for camping, and have lots of questions. We are looking at the Truxedo stuff.

    1. Does the Sentry rattle going down the road?
    2. Is the fit / finish of the Pro X15 that impressive?
    3. The Pro X15 and LoPro have lifetime warranties - does that really matter?
    4. Which has the most bang for the buck?
I'm open to any feedback you would like to give!

I have a Pro X15 on my Tundra. Had one on my Z71 before I got the Tundra. Love it. It works for me as I only wanted a little water proof in the bed for carrying luggage and such. I can go through a brushless carwash and don't get a teaspoon of water in my bed. I will say that in the south Louisiana summers, that bastard gets hott!!

I picked up the Pro X15 and couldn't be happier. Haven't had any noise issues and no major flapping on the highway like I've had with LoPro's in the past. Doesn't get really dusty or hard to clean. Had troubles installing and getting the end to lock without forcing apart the rails to fit every time I wanted to shut it. Took it in to where I bought it and they put some shims under the rails to get them to sit flush. The look took a few days to get into and after installation - I thought the LoPro would have been a better look - but now it's fine. I haven't seen the Sentry yet but it looks cool from the pics I Googled.

I like that you can still use the bed stake holes with it. While I otherwise love my Extang Tri-Fold cover, my biggest criticism of it is that I have to take it off when I want to use my canoe rack, which slots into the bed stake holes.

The fact you have bought it twice is encouraging! I am in WI - do you think these hold up in winter climates?

Did you compare the Extang to these others prior to purchase?

I did not. To be fair, I got a killer price on the Extang: $0. A buddy of mine is a corporate manager for Canadian Tire, and had a cover in his garage from when he built up a Demo Tundra. When he heard I bought a Tundra, he mentioned it, and offered to give it to me for the cost of shipping which was $50 from Ontario to Winnipeg. How could I refuse a deal like that?

Had I actually been shopping around and spending my own money on it, I likely would have looked for one of these that fits inside the bed rather than on top.

I've had my X15 for about 2 months now. No wrinkles, looks much better than a typical vinyl soft cover. We just had one hell of a rainstorm, remnants from hurricane saias. Got 3 " of torrential rain overnight. The next morning, there was some water puddled on top of the cover, bit the bed was bone dry
