I have a 2019 Tundra with random key fob issue. majority of the time my key fobs work fine to unlock and start the truck. But at random times it stops working, its like the key fob is not communicating to the truck and nothing works. I have to use the the actual key to unlock the door and inserting the key in the ignition and trying to start the truck there is nothing, like it is completely dead, nothing on the dashboard, nothing works. I found that I can disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes and then everything is fine, truck starts back up.

This happens at random, it was fine for the last 9 months but this week it has happened 4 times. I have 3 key fobs and when this happens none of the fobs works until I disconnect the battery. It has happened when I turn off the truck or trying to start it in the morning or just driven somewhere and come back and trying to start it.

Any thoughts what is happening and how to fix it?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

hey jeff stupid question but did you try the batteries? If not, yeah it probably is a communication problem. They might need to take it to Toyota for reprogram

New batteries in all 3 fobs, I have taken to the dealer but they could not figure what was wrong. There suggestion was to tow it in next time it happen and they would try to figure it out.
