Hey ya'll! I have a 2020 1794 and I have a squirrel problem... The rodents go up into the engine housing to sleep, stay warm during the winter months. Unfortunately, they chew on my wiring harness (2nd time). Is there anything I can do to prevent? Under carriage shield? Sprays to deter?

    Thanks!

There are a lot of threads discussing this; i have used peppermint oil spray to keep rodents away. Some have gone so far as installing ultrasonic devices connected to their batteries. It has something to do with the wiring harnesses being made out of soy I think......you may have to get a bit more aggressive with squirrels.

Pine sol soaked rags, Snuggle dryer sheets. and bars of pink Dove soap reside in the engine compartment 24/7 here. Reapply Pine sol about every 2 weeks in the cool months. A few chlorine pool tabs around the perimeter on the ground don't hurts much as well.

There is a thread here about a guy who had parasites eating him and nearly died from the mice that were in his truck hvac system. I encourage you to research and read it. It's titled something like My Tundra and the rodents that nearly killed me.
