Truck randomly dies after starting

I got a 2004 tundra with about 182,000 miles on it and recently I've noticed right after starting the truck occasionally rpms drop to 100-200 and then shoot back up. That would happen usually accouple times during the week until today when I was starting it on a warm start it just dropped all the way down and died. Did that accouple times until starting it in neutral where it would sit around 300 in drive until touching the gas. When starting in part it would die unless my foot was on the gas. By the time I got home the rpms were back to normal and it could start normally.

Anyone know what would cause this? Vacuum leak maybe?

Idle problems are often vacuum leak related. The truck is more sensitive to air fuel ratios when the fuel delivery is low. MAF would be another good one to check. Clean that throttle body as well.

 

Just went to auto zone and got some mass airflow sensor cleaner and sprayed it down. Didn't have any issues driving there surprisingly so I'll just have to wait and see if they come back now that I got the sensor cleaned. Thanks.

 

Just cleaned the MAF and currently everything has been running fine so I'll wait to take apart the throttle body until it has anymore strange idles just so I don't mess something up if its running fine. I will update though if I end up taking that apart.
