So this always happens at the Wendy's drive through but also elsewhere. Level ground. I pull up to order. In drive, foot on brake for 10-30 seconds. Wanted to go around corner to drive up window on trucks own power, foot off brake, truck doesn't move, have to give it has to go. Is there something wrong with my transmission?

I thought all vehicles ALWAYS move on their own when in drive especially on flat ground, right?

maybe that is not a general rule but as you said, all my auto trans cars move when in D and on flats. I don't recall one that didn't .

    couple of ideas ...

What's the rpm when in gear and your foot on the brake? Is the car idling ok?

also could be that your parking brake or brakes are sticking a little. How's your mpg?

You may very well have a sticking caliper or pads that are sticking to the bracket.

I believe it is idling normal, usually at 700rpms. Yes definitely might be the brakes. For mpg usually 13 town And 17 if highway, interstate driving. Sometimes I've gotten alot worse though, I'll have to start keeping track of that. I think you guys are right about it being the brakes

I agree with the brake theory, either a parking brake cable or a sticking caliper / slide pin / pad. If it’s not that, and your Tundra is 4wd make sure it’s actually in 2wd. Try spinning the front driveshaft by hand when in 2wd.

It needs to be replaced. Took some of it out but need to flush it all out and replace for sure. After replacing some of it that actually helped it seems
