I have 2009 limited 4x4 DC 5.7l. I get codes c1201 and c1249. VSC and 4-lo lights are flashing. Check engine light is on. When cold, the truck does not respond to accelerator input normally. Sometimes it lurches forward and sometimes I have to rev it up pretty high before it moves (especially in reverse). After a few miles of this, it runs fine. Very well maintained truck with 170k. Codes would have me believe gas cap or short in brake lights. I did the whole "put in neutral, turn on 4-lo, put in park, turn to 2wd" thing, and nothing came of it. Removed neg terminal for ten minutes and the dash lights went off for the trip home - 37 miles. In the morning everything was flashing in the dash again, and I had to rev it higher than normal to get it to move. It is not mechanical and there are no grinding, clunking, or screeching noises. The only work I had done recently was an oil change and installing mud flaps. I feel this has happened before, but I would shut the truck off on the side of the road and then turn it right back on. That would take care of it then. Now it is not going away. Oh, the speedometer works so it isn't the wheel speed sensor. It acts as if it doesn't know if there is traction or not.
