I’m a first timer We’ll see how it goes. I have an 07 tundra 407,000 miles. Transmission still shifting fine just delays going to Drive. Have to let warm up drop down into neutral rev up a few times put it in drive and it will go. I couldn’t ask for anymore for this transmission, but the problem I have now is I decided. To buy a used transmission off eBay with 87,000 miles. I’m in the process of putting the transmission in but taken out this transmission is a booger. It is an a 750 E transmission aluminum block. And boy, these bell housing bolts are in there. I stripped one of the starter bolts the top starter Abel I stripped the bolt now I drilled that out. And I’m trying to get the rest of the bolts out boy these things do not want to come out. Has anybody out there taking a transmission out of one of these things and figured out how to get these bolts to release besides putting heat on them and how the heck do you get heat a torch on the top bolts? I hope somebody has some history on removing these bolts.

Also, when I get the bolts out. Do I use some kind of Loctite or anti seize. What do I use.

No first hand experience but I’ve seen heat induction tools used allowing you to be precise with the heat application.

    Galvanic corrosion is a bitch.
