Yes. You can go aftermarket with both if you wanted and still buy the Sport.

I got a base sr5 and added black leather into the deal. I’d skip the sunroof though but that’s just me.

I have a sunroof and wish I didn't. I never use it and only see it as a possible issue down the road. Get the sport and add leather like @csuviper did.

Exactly. I have never and and only heard bad things about sunroofs. Didn’t really want one. Went with sport and Katzkin aftermarket leather seats. Love it.

I only needed to read to this post (#4) to find my very thoughts on sunroofs. While I get the concept and the aesthetics of it....I just can never ever get my head around "and then I put a hole in roof."

Go the suggested SR5 route with upgrades put into your new purchase dealer deal.

leather is nice and easy to clean. sunroof makes the truck feel even bigger and bright inside.. I mostly tilt mine vs opening it all the way but it is nice in the spring to put all 5 windows down and open the sunroof and crank up the crappy jbl

I agree love the leather and have ha 9 vehicles with moon/sunroofs with zero issues. Ever since I bought my first vehicle with leather along time ago never had anything else since.

Thanks for the replies fellas. So can you actually have the factory add leather when you build one on the website? Or do you have to go aftermarket? Also if go aftermarket how expensive is it? Do they just put the katskins over the cloth seats or do they redo the whole deal?

Also can the dealer just add a sunroof? Or would I have to go aftermarket like the catskins.

    Thanks,

From what I hear the Katzkin leather is better then stock. Have you seen the limited leather? I think it only comes gray. I went with platinum because I like the other features that came with it.

my limited has black leather with dark gray inserts. I think the leather varies by outside color

Don’t think you can add leather from website as technically it’s aftermarket. I did it the day I signed paperwork and they sent it off to a shop to install it. The katzkin is definitely better quality. The leather in the limited’s feel cheap as heck.

I personally wouldn’t trust any aftermarket shop to cut and install a sunroof no matter how great a shop they are. If it doesn’t come from Toyota direct then don’t do it. That’s my thought process. Too many leaks and electrical issues could arise from it.

Agree with all of this. If leather is the only thing you want, buy the sport and just get some katzkins. Mine we’re $2500 installed, but that’s because I went with the heating and cooling system.

If you’re really wanting a sunroof though, just buy a limited...
