This is just a FYI for those that would be interested. I changed my OE Platinum suspension over to the TRD Sport over the weekend. I do have both the front and rear TRD sway bars as well. I can say that the Sport suspension lives up to the name by firming up the ride even more. I did take a lot of the "jiggle" out from the standard black shock on everyday highway treks. It is a bit more jarring over bumps, but that was to be expected.

Thanks for the info. I just took delivery of my Platinum today. I traded in a 2007 Limited with TRD package. Really did like the ride of my TRD. I had just begun my quest of how to regain that ride in my Platinum. What all did you replace and what did you replace it with specifically? Do you know if the springs are different on a TRD vs Platinum or is it just the shocks and struts? Are the Sport shocks struts different? Thanks

Honestly I found a set of the TRD Sport shocks and struts. Basically, from what I understand, aside for the PRO the springs are all the same, it’s just the shocks that are different. I lucked into a set of coil overs and rear shocks from another member on here.

Yes thats what I was trying to find out. Leaf springs are the same. Coilovers are the same? Shocks and struts definitely different. Is this the way you understand it? The ride in the Platinum is too plush for me. I like the stiffer ride.

Yep. Same platinum springs. I also have both front and rear sport sway bars too.

    I didn't take any before/after measurements, unfortunately.
