Just got my Trd Take off's with Wescott collars installed on the 2025 Tundra,
Method 305 wheels with 0 offset on 35's.

The drive seams good no pulling the steering wheel tracks strait and no pull,

My Question is are Upper control arms needed? If So what brand would be the middle of the Road for cost effectiveness.

It would probably be happier w/UCAs.

Speaking of happy, that axle looks bound?

The picture of the axle makes it look kinked? That is just my thought?

    It does look strange,
The wheel is Fully turned out, so I could take a picture of the strut. I don't think I would go more than 5 MPH on a full turn lock.

FWIW, I’ve been running a spacer lift (probably about 1.5-1.75”) in the front, on the stock, black UCA. No issue yet, but I’m swapping out the UCAs for Camburg tubular ones once my kings come in. I think the UCA from the 3” trd lift is cheaper than many of the aftermarket UCAs out there and it would take the stress out of the upper ball joint by fixing the geometry. Aftermarket UCAs allow you to get more caster angle bc the stock one is limited due to geometry with a lift. Also, my stock (black) axles bind a bit at full lock with my current setup. I’ll take some before and after pics of my axles when I do my front suspension install. I’d imagine aftermarket UCAs different geometry might improve the CV angle at full lock. Beautiful truck btw!

Thank you for the post Chris,
I live 5 min from camburg, maybe I will go over there and see what they have to say.
From what I have seen and read the stock upper will work, I just don’t want to run into any issues.

I was looking at the JBA uppers I’m not really off-roading yet, and they look like a middle of the road option.

as promised, some pics of my axle angles after installing kings, Camburg UCAs, and silver axles. My coilovers give basically the same amount of lift as my previous spacer setup (about 2” level) but I did replace the axles with the silver ones from the trd lift. Axles look happy, but I didn’t take a pic at full lock.

    Looks Great,
Can you take a pic of the Top with the UCA,
    What shop did the work?

As far as the Camberg uca go,
Is there any worry about them wearing out or squeaking?

upload_2025-3-5_10-23-57.jpgupload_2025-3-5_10-23-57.jpgHere’s a pic with the UCA. Uniball is packed with grease and sealed with the cap. Will require preventative greasing to prevent squeaking but nothing to note so far so it comes with adequate grease. The polyurethane bushings require greasing every 5k miles or so (recommended to do with every oil change). They have zerk fittings so you just loosen the UCA bolt and pack grease in with a grease gun to prevent squeaking there.

I did the install myself (first time ever doing suspension) and it took two days. I struggled with the axle swap bc I’ve never swapped cvs before, but you won’t have to worry about that since you already have the red axles. If I were to get it done by a shop, I’d go to BajaHQ as I’m in socal. My dad went to high school with one of the founders and gets all his work done there. He said they have about a month backlog right now, but that was a week or two ago. Said they’re getting a ton of raptor r’s right now, so they’re pretty busy. Lastly, I got my alignment done at CAARS in San Juan, right down the street from BajaHQ. They do a decent amount of Offroad alignments with aftermarket UCAs/suspension.

    Nice looks good,

I was thinking of doing the work myself, not sure what I want to do yet.
