I’m looking to buy a new pro skid plate is this the correct part number for the one with red letters? I know there’s two different skids one with letters one without.
    (PTR60-34190).

And who has the best deal right now?
    Thanks everyone

Make sure you have a helper with you. I know it was a pain to install.

i will also recommend adding some rubber washers in every bolt. i learned the hard way it kept rubbing metal to metal and i makes a concerning sound. i install the skid plate around the same time my lift and i thought it was something to do with the lift and the mechanic had to take apart the lift kit to check and that’s when we realize it was the skid plate.

Why spend so much on the factory plate when pretty much all the aftermarket plates are cheaper and better?

100% agree with this! I took mine off to install the front sway bar. The skid-plate was factory installed on my car. When I put the plate back on my car it made a horrible sound whenever I made a turn that took me awhile to diagnose which I finally read about on this site. I reinstalled with rubber washers all over and now it's quiet as it was originally. At first I thought to replace the hardware but they want almost $90 for it!

I agree with the earlier comment. You can spend about the same amount and get a much more protective/covered skid from aftermarket such as RCI, Victory4x4, etc...AND it will have a door for oil changes.... which the factory skid will not have

The TRD Pro skid does have the door.

I stand corrected then.... still mild compared to how beefy the aftermarket skids are.... it's like comparing a grocery bag to an actual gym bag!

I have a TRD Sport so the OEM TRD products was the path I chose. I use my truck to pull a boat on weekend. If I was hardcore off roading and really needed rock sliders and skid plates I might have gone the route of miscellaneous vendor product all of which appear to be great products.

The Mods you choose should be guided by usage and preference. If I were going to do hardcore off roading or towing heavy loads I would have chosen a more capable platform. My 2 cents.

    Makes sense.

Sadly, budget is the number 1 guide in my build. So I generally buy the least expensive that will fill my needs and are of quality.
RCI happen to be cheaper and stronger than the TRD plate so I went that route.

Aluminum Pro skid also hangs due to being porous.

The steel skids will slide over shit better.

And I'll add that by "Platform" I meant not a highway loaded TRD Sport with all the safety shit. I'd build up an SR5 all day long.

Do you know if the TRD skid plate
Do you know if the TRD skid plate still fits with the TRD front sway bars installed? Or is there anything that will hinder installment of the TRD skid plate?

Yes 100%. The TRD skid plates still fits fine with the TRD front sway bars installed. You should not have any issues with the installment of the TRD skid plate.

Where do you recommend putting the rubber washers?

through the back two bolts that bolt through the frame. you can either use rubber washers, or strips of rubber compound if you have some lying around (weatherstripping, old bike tire, etc.) between the skid and frame before you bolt it back up. If you go the second route, just loosen the bolts enough to slide the rubber in and tighten back up. Took maybe 30 minutes total to loosen, cut the rubber to length, and tighten back
