I found a used TRD Skidplate locally for sale. The seller said it was only missing 1 bolt. I picked it up for $100 because one bolt & spacer should be easy to piece together at the Hardware store. After I brought it home I checked out the install instructions online only to find that I’m also missing 2 square shim washers! I’ve already contacted the seller and he said he doesn’t have them so I’m SOL. I don’t really want to spend $90 on the hardware kit when I’m so close! I think this is something I can fabricate on my own with a piece of steel and an angle grinder but I don’t know the dimensions.

    1. how critical is this piece to have an angle?
    2. If it is a necessary part, can anyone share the dimensions?

Thanks to @ChunkyToy for the pictures (copied from another thread).

After doing some measurements and cross referencing the size in ChunkyToys photo, my guess is it is a ~1.75 to 2” square. I’m not sure of the pitch though.

old thread, but I too am looking for the square angled washers. even better would be to know dimensions and thickness on either end so i could just 3D print them.

Anyone have some handy that they could get me dimensions and thickness on either end, or know if ace hardware carries something that would do the same thing?

I have a TRD skid plate.
When I installed my cat shields I replaced those angled washers with a nut plate.
Not only did it make the install easier, not squishing your hand putting the nuts on, I didn't see any reason to use the wedges.
I'd give you my old wedges but I gave them away long ago.
Not sure if they would use the OEM bolts, I used pentagon bolts.
You might PM @Talon2006 and ask him.
    He is a forum vendor.

thanks @1lowlife . i think the angled shims go between the plate adn the frame as its curved at install point? maybe im wrong, still doing my research. if they do not go there, i stand corrected.

They go on top between the frame and the top lock nut..
The nut plate I suggested replaces both the spacer and the top nut.
It has the top nut welded onto it.

    OEM install instructions:

I'd suggest a thin layer of rubber or thick rubber/nylon washers between the plate and the frame on the rear bolts.
It may avoid a squeak later in a few months..
