I just picked up my TRD Pro, and first thing I noticed when I sat in it was the front driver seat makes a squeaking noise. The sound is coming from the back support, and almost feels like theres a bubble in the back. Anyone else have this issue with their seats?

I believe lots of people have that issue and bunch of tundra YouTubers too.

My Pro doesn’t do it but seems common.

Yeah, I saw a video someone had this issue with their Sequoia TRD Pro seats. Wonder what the fix would be for it. Would be nice if they can just swap the seats since I cant really have the truck sitting at the dealership for too long.

I picked up my Platinum Hybrid this week, and the driver's seat does the same thing as shown in the video. I haven't taken it in yet. It is annoying, but other than that, the truck has been great.

Those noise would drive me insane. I don't have any issue with my seats making noise. I notice a lot of the ones making the noise are higher trim model, could it be the ventilated seats perhaps? I just have heated seats.

Maybe. New bracket is waiting at the dealer. I'm going back on Monday to have them swap it out

I have the same issue on my 23 Limited. Only the driver side squeaks on the vertical part of the seat. Anyone able to resolve this issue?

My TRD Pro seat back squeaks as well. Probably something to do with the A/C duct that discharges there. There’s a zipper on the back cover. If/when I get brave or aggravate enough I might take a peek. For now, I adjust the music volume to drown it out.

Was the new bracket inside the seat back or at the base (carpet area)? Curious.

Curious how the frame in the base would fix the squeaking in the back of the seat

My squeaking wasn't coming from the seat back..it was coming from the base.

I have the same issue, the front driver seat makes a squeaking noise. The sound is coming from the back support. Sitting in the passenger seat, so far I don’t hear the same noise. Just the driver seat for some odd reason. Any luck getting dealer to fix it?

Mine initially didn’t have this issue. But now it does. Maybe it’s not an issue at all and more to do with how the heated / cooled seats works who knows def odd though when other vehicles don’t do this

My 22 Limited had the same issue in both front driver and passenger seats, sounded like you were setting against bubble wrap. My 23 Platinum does not do it, seat is more comfortable as well.

I have this squeak or creak in the driver back rest. It’s dead center and makes noise everytime you push your back into the seat. Curious if anyone has had this fixed?

I took to dealer. They said Toyota is looking into it, no fix yet. They offered to replace my seats, but said they won’t look the same because the seats cloths comes in a bag and would have fold marks in it.

I finally took my 2023 in to have the dealer fix the back seat "creaking/popping" sound. It was the first Tundra they had in for the issue, but they discovered that Toyota has had several in for it nationwide. They have a "repair" to the back seat and will add "felt" to fix the issue. Also, my thigh extender was not working most of the time, and they are replacing the lower seat. Surprisingly Toyota said the seat part would be in overnight. Hope it takes care of the issue!

I had the “felt repair” done a few weeks back. It did nothing for the creak.
It’s is back in the shop today for them to do something, allegedly.

Hmmm ... that is a bummer. They said felt and repair .... hopefully the combination fixes it.

Had the "repair" and "felt" done and it did not fix the issue. I'm taking it back on Monday. The dealer said they have to open another ticket with Toyota to engage discussion on what to try next.

I took mine in this past week. After the felt repair failure, They tell me that Toyota has them apply a “special grease” I am assuming on the track mechanism for the lumbar support, and also tighten some attachment points. That made a slight difference for about 4 hours of drive time. Now it is back just like before.I let the dealer know and now there are awaiting Toyotas next response. Very frustrating. I would upload a video for reference but I am not sure how to do so.

Will jump in here and call out, I own a 2019, so not the same gen.

My 2019 drivers seat would squeak/creak when I lean my back into the seat and it would only occur when temperatures were below 50 degrees. I unzipped the seat cover on the back and found the coils (similar to bed coils) needed a little dry lube. Squeak is now gone.

2023 1794 purchased last week. I’m experiencing the same problem with the seats making popping sound when putting pressure on the backrest. Any answers or fixes yet?

So yesterday, my dealer had a Southeast Toyota guy come out and look/work on mine. He had it for about 5 hours. I got it back and put about 450 miles on it today. Not a single squeak, creak, pop or any other unusual noise. So far so good. This noise started between 4-5000 miles, and the dealer has been working on it for the last 16000 miles, so I will reserve judgement for another 4-5000 miles to see if it actually worked long term. I will get a photo of the printout on what was done posted. Maybe that will help someone else.

    Edit: Add dealer printout.
