Shouldn't sound any different depending on where it goes out. Assuming you're just changing the pipe from the muffler back.

Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension, HD RAS, 285/75-18 Nokian Outpost AT, LoPro bed cover, TRD rear sway bar, DD 10 inch exhaust, and various other goodies

Not much sound difference, except towing. Towing with rear exit duals bounces the sound back at the truck. Here are some pictures
