I currently have a 2021 Tundra TRD Sport and was looking to install the TRD Dual Exhaust. I do have some concern about it constant droning on the highway. Anyone have any experience with it droning on the highway at 75mph and 2000rpm?
Would love some insight from others who have this exhaust.

    Thanks

I’ve had the TRD dual exhaust on my 2017 for the past 6 years or so and probably about 65k miles. I recall noticing a slight drone when it was first installed, but pretty mild. I probably got used to it because I wouldn’t say it drones now. Never any complaints from passengers either and I’ve taken it on many trips.

Slight drone (if that) from < 2,000 rpm. But, it's more pronounced when the truck is in OD (5th and 6th gears) and you're feathering the throttle to maintain speed...

I guess the real question is why would you want to install the TRD exhuast if you have any concerns about drone, especially when it gives you no performance increases and make in fact reduce low end torque slightly??

You'd probably be better off contacting Keith @dirtydeeds and giving him the exact parameters you are looking for and have him build you a custom system for probaby less money...

I’ve done extensive testing of every offering of exhaust for our trucks. Anytime you go dual exhaust while using stock exhaust manifolds you get a loss of low end torque. I’ve personally switched guys from duals back to singles and ridden with them in their trucks. You should see the look on their face and he tone in their voice when they get the low end torque back.

a good single exhaust exiting thru a 2 3/4” tailpipe gains low end torque instead of losing it.

the only reason to run duals is when running long tube headers.

As stated by others, if you have a 5.7 V8 Tundra there is no reason to go anywhere other than Dirty Deeds for an exhaust. You won't get better service or performance and they can make it custom if you like. Keith kicks ass!

I love the exhaust and I love the sound..... most of the time. However, it does get old on the highway especially when towing.
Not that it is bad but it is a little loud in some cases.
Maybe I am too old :)

7 years in and my 8” exhaust from dirty deeds never gets old. Part of the reason for that is because there is zero drone when cruising, but still makes a ton of noise when you get on the throttle. Drone gets annoying. Having the ability to have a calm quiet mild mannered exhaust when you want and one with authority when you want makes it worth it to me.
