I have my 2017 toyota tundra sr5 tss at toyota because my cat converter got stolen. I need a new exhaust cause they cut into it. My question is can i put a trd pro exhaust on? I believe i can but the advisor is telling me that i will need another toyota cat that is compatible with the trd pro exhaustand not the one im getting. I believe he is lying but i needed confirmation. Btw, my trucc been in the shop for 3 months due to the cat being on bacc order. After calling corporate on em and stuff, he now says the cat is in but now were waiting on the exhaust. Hahahahahh. Tia

That is a lie. The mid pipes with the cats are the same no matter if the exhaust is stock or the TRD pro exhaust.

I’m more surprised that your advisor is saying they have the cats in only after three months. Been many, including mine, exceeding six months. But like @dpast88 said, should be the same regardless of trim package.

My trucc is at community toyota off of i10 in baytown btw. I knew they was full of shit but i wanted to checc to make sure. Im willing to spend more money for the trd pro exhaust. Seeing you guys going through this cat theft shit makes me furious. It makes me want to tack weld a crap ton of tiny razors all over and around that section of exhaust just out of principle instead of getting a cat guard.
