Might be buying a used trd exhaust system but don't think it will come with the heat shield. I know I need a driver side hanger kit, I found that but can't find the bigger trd heat shield that comes with the kit. Anyone know the part #?

I've got some bad news. That heat shield isn't available separately. I've called Toyota before on this, and they do not have a part number for this nor will they just sell the heat shield to me.

So what are my options? Will the stock one hold up? I don't sit and idle anywhere except when I remote start in the summer or winter.

You'll have to run with the stock one. There have been other Tundra owners who have had to do just this, and I haven't heard of anyone having problems.

Do you guys use any kind of sealant when installing the trd system or does it seal up on it's own good? Is it ok to reuse the seals or should I get new one's? Exhaust is only 4-5 months old.

@Tophergt99 hey did you figure out your exhaust question? Are you running with the stock heat sheild? I'm going to install similar exhaust, I'm going from stock to dual trd exhaust system.

Why not just make one? Seems like a piece of ducting metal would work just fine. All you would need is a pair of tin snips, a sharpie and a drill for the mounting holes. Just use your existing shield as a template. I would use some nuts or washers on the backside of the mounting holes to space it off the bed and keep it from a possible rattle.
