TRD Grill Front License Plate

How did you attach a front license plate on a TRD grill?

Cautious to drill into the new grill.

 

On the grill or the lower valance?

Mine was already on, guess dealer did

 

i believe mine was just a regular wood style screw (maybe a self tapper) through the plastic. They could have at least put a threaded stud in there.

 

Lower valence. You need a plate bracket with hardware? I just posted one for sale last night.

 

This company makes one that requires no drilling. I have the horizontal mount. Its holding up pretty well. He does state it "fits" but I did run in to it being loose. The slats aren't quite wide enough for the mechanism to clamp on to. I added some rubber strips and that seemed to help.
They are also a little pricey.
