Kind of a ridiculous question but does the exhaust growl when you hammer the gas sound as good outside the truck as it does inside the truck?

When I bought my truck last year I test drove a non-TRD SR5 and the exhaust was really quiet but the SR5 TRD(the one I bought) had a noisier exhaust.

There are only 2 exhausts. The OEM single and the trd duals. It’s in your head if one single exhaust was louder than another.

some models years had a resonator, some didn’t

My TRD dual exhaust sounds awesome in and out. But, if you have a stock single it sounds weak.

Single exhaust. It will of course sound weaker than a dual but compared to the other truck I mentioned I test drove there was a big difference between the 2 exhausts. Both new 2019's at the time.

I took both trucks I mentioned (2019's TRD and non-TRD)) on the same test drive route and there was a big difference between the 2 exhaust sounds.

It helps to have a tunnel handy and roll the windows down.

I’m not sure what the difference was? Can you send pics of your exhaust?

Were they both the same motor? 2019 was the last year for the 4.6

Is it loud at start up, like neighbors will hate you loud when starting in the morning?

No. Just a nice low growl.
