I’m looking to purchase the TRD 3 inch lift but I wanted to see what dealers are charging for the install. I’m hoping to score the lift for around $2000-$2100 once Toyota parts does another sale

Different dealers may vary some in their install costs, so it may be beneficial to call and get estimates. For ballpark $, you are probably looking at 1500-2000 for install.

I got my lift during the black Friday sale for $1950 +tax but they only ship to certain dealers. Definitely shop around on the Toyota parts site by changing dealers because I found they all had different prices until I found the cheapest one. I paid $2000 for the labor install but also got another quote for $3000 and another for almost $4000. Call around and find a dealer that has done a few of these lifts as they would have experience and figured out the actual time/cost. Most dealers wanted 2 days but some said 3-4.

That's what I thought. I was corrected once about the 3rd gen complete TRD Pro lift kit and all that has to be installed. For that kit, I say 2 days. But if it's just the front coilers and rear shocks,1 day max. I have done 3 CO lifts with rears, 1 lift I did was adding a leaf on the rear and installing new lift spindles, and only took me 1 day.

Exactly why I didn't use that dealer, most say 2 days. Mine charged 14 hrs I think and it did take 2 full days, wasn't done till after 4 on 2nd day. I've heard it takes quite a bit of time and setup for the radar recalibration.

My local dealers have quoted me 3k to 5k for the labor alone... not sure if it's just the PNW dealers, but ain't no way in hell I'm paying that. I am confident I can do this myself minus the safety radar recalibrating, but I will lose out on the factory warranty. At least it's only 1yr...

If anyone knows of a dealer in the puget sound area with a reasonable price, please let me know.

$1950 is a crazy good deal wow.. did you ship to to a dealer or to yourself, and what was the shipping cost?

The best I can find online right now is Sparks for ~$2800 shipped...

I did my dobinsons ims kit with jba off-road upper control arms , rear trac bar , extended brake lines and rear springs in about 9 hours in my garage . I could have done it faster with a lift but I just used a floor jack . I do wrench for a living though . Nothing hard about it except rear springs but that can be overcome with a lift .

Mine was $2500 (Plus tax) for my install. Included alignment, reprogram of the safety sensors and they reset my TPMS because I had brand new 35s with 18 in fuels in the bed already mounted and balanced with sensors installed. So they just programed TPMS and rock and roll. Not the cheapest but it would have been done in 1 day but kit (which I bought from their parts department because they were able to almost match the sale price of Sparks and other dealers online (but I saved shipping costs so technically I saved a good amount there) So it took 2 days because the kit came with 2 left side axles. So they had to order the ride side to replace it but it was free and only took 1 more day. So very happy with the process. I am in SE PA. Hour west of Philly.

Tri County. In Limerick, PA. They have a "lift guy" that owns many of lifted things and does all their lifts. And they had a couple 23s on their lot with lifts for sale he did as well. I was like yea ok all dealers say that. But the service manager was like he is legit and knows his shit. And I cant complain. Would have had it done in 1 day and no issues. Solid work.

Im waiting for Toyota parts to have a sale and then I’m purchasing. They currently have free shipping or you can always get shipped to the closet dealer.

Good lord. I remember my last lift was my 08 duramax. 6” kit and I believe it was 800 dollars and possibly done on one day.

Shipping was free cuz it went to the dealer, which was a 3 hr drive but was the closest dealer to me that toyota parts would ship to. It wouldn't even let me ship to my zip code, I think I'm too rural.

You can also check with your dealer they might price match or come close to online price.

Absolutely go into your local dealer and try that. That is what I did. I was about to buy online but figured let me try the dealer I was getting it installed at. Showed them the online price I found and said can you match? They couldnt but got down to only $50 more but no shipping fees. So I made out so much better. I did the same with my TRD side steps. They came down to $10 over but I again saved on shipping. Always worth a shot. Especially if you can do everything there. Lift and the install. And wager that a bit. I dropped over $6500 all in with all the stuff I bought from there. They loved me after the fact. And I was saving compared to online. It was a win win.

just a note, the FIO price for the 3in lift is $6100, this includes the trd or package.

to add just the lift as a PIO, its $3995

Although 4k for the FIO add-on seems high considering you can get the kit itself for ~$2500, I'd much rather pay the 4k for it to come installed. Wish it was a thing back when I bought the truck.

the $4k cost includes the port install and 3yr warranty. of course you can get just the kit for cheaper but then you have to find someone to install the kit and no oem 3yr warranty :)

The warranty is a good point to bring up. If the lift was factory installed or installed by dealer prior/during initial vehicle purchase then all the lift parts are included in the factory 3yr/36k warranty. If the lift is installed after purchase by anyone (self, suspension shop, non dealer shop, or dealer) then the suspension parts only come with a 1yr/12k warranty, or whatever warranty the shop/dealer provides. I checked with many dealers prior to my install and it was pretty standard the dealers provided 1 yr warranty on their work of installing the lift, and toyota will warranty the lift parts for 1 yr as well.

How many hours would front CV axles add to that do you think?
