I’ve been trying to get the TRD 3 inch lift for sometime now. Some of the parts and service departments. I’ve talked to. I’ve stated that they believe it’s an engineering issue. One said components were interfering with others, another has said there were alignment issues, another has said Warranty issues…

Does anyone know for certain? I was told the service departments had to destroy and discard the tool for assembling the struts. But Toyota is sending a simple struts for warranty work… Which makes me think maybe these other speculations have some weight? If there wasn’t an issue with the system, why not just send the kit assembled? I know they’re also coming with the lift from the factory though…

I’m wondering if anyone with The TRD 3” lift has been having issues?

please comment here or take this survey I created. Nothing formal. Just trying to gather info

    Here’s a quick form if you’re willing to help: https://forms.gle/nfM9WEABa2iZ8efh7 — Thanks

I got lucky and got one installed after the Toyota stop sale. No issues at all. IF it were causing some of the issues you mentioned earlier I doubt Toyota would be selling brand new trucks with it installed. It was an issue with the spring compressor. I have no clue what is taking so long on getting dealers a new tool, I’m sure there are LOTS of legal issues to work through before rolling out a new tool

I agree. It’s just weird no one at Toyota or it’s affiliates have uniform information. The only thing consistent with all the conversations is we haven’t received any official information.

Figured I’d see if anyone had first had issues though. Best way to rule in or out those comments is by experiences
