2015 Tundra has 292K. Today I put it in drive and it didn’t feel like the transmission engaged (converter slip) I out the trans back in park and then drive again. Drove off with no issues. I have also noticed what feels like a miss or converter slip. I notice this as a couple short jerks and then all is better. This only happens between 1200 and 1900 RPM. Anyone else have this issue and if so, what was the fix? Help appreciated.

I'm sure this'll get moved by moderators, but: you're in the 1st gen Tundra section of the forum. 1999-2007.

But I hope you get your tranny issues resolved!

I think that the questions about transmission service (fluid change) are valid. These transmissions are rock solid but if the fluid is neglected it can cause wear in the valve body. This wear causes sticking solenoid valves which lead to hung up and incomplete shifts. You have to give us more to go off from if you want help.

If your AT fluid is the factory original, your only option is to do a simple drain and fill. And afterwards pray that fixed the issue because if the problem remains, chances are you’re going to need a whole new transmission. No such thing as lifetime ATF.

ATF has been changed in the trucks lifetime. The last one I can 100% remember is at 115K. I cannot remember doing it at 200K. I added some seafoam trans tune to it tonight and will run that for a few days then change the fluid. The tranny slipping is a guess. I suppose this could also be a mid rpm misfire. However, no code is thrown.
