Reading a million posts about transmission temperatures and even pictures of dash screens showing exact temperature #'s. I own a 2019 and for the life of me cannot see anywhere that shows "Transmission Temperature". I even read in one post you can download an Android app to show this but is that for Android phones only of downloaded directly to the truck.

    Was this gauge pre-2014 only?
    Is their such an App?
Are these temps only available with a scantool?

Sorry for the oldman not tech savy questions but really would like to see somewhat accurate transmission temperatures. Thanks as always.

Scangauge 2 is what I have . You have to enter in some codes when you first get it to activate the trans temp gauges. It monitors pan and after the torque converter. Plus a bunch of other things depending on what you want.

There was a gauge 07-13 I think. It just stayed in the middle though like engine temp. It was useless. Most use a scangauge 2 or obd reader and app.

I put a Kenwood DMX906S head unit in my 2019 with the OBD2 interface and get Transmission temps displayed on the gauges app. Good excuse to upgrade your HU!
