Hey y’all, I’m new here but I got a parked 07’ 2wd tundra because I have no reverse and no first gear in “Manual”. Can anybody help tell me if I need a whole new transmission? Or if I should bite the bullet and pay to have it opened up all the way. Nothing is coming up for the transmission on a OBD2

Sounds like rodents got to it...
If its on flat ground try checking fluid
mobil mech get a diagnostic on trans.. I got a blue driver obd2 and can get more codes.. there are other options as long as it pulls transmission codes.

IIRC there a clutch drum brake (band) is applied for 1st and rewind. Potentially that band broke which equates to an overhaul.

It might be worth a look to drop the pan but be prepared for a replacement or rebuild.

Was reverse abused a little before this happened? It could be a faulty solenoid b UT it would throw CEL for that.

It should throw a CEL for this.
