Ok guys, I have 1gen Sequoia 4wd and been needing to change the transmission fluid and filter. I have about 233k on the dash. Just seeing what some of y'all recommend or use. I do a lot of driving and spend a few times a week driving trails. Thanks

Check your manual. It should be DEXRON II or III (same product). Sold at auto stores. My 02’ Tundra automatic takes 2.1 qts.

Let us know how it goes!

DEXRON II OR III is the same fluid for your power steering. You can turkey baste suck and fill a couple cycles to refresh that reservoir with your extra .9 qts.

I was doing some research and saw that. Going to need to get this done before our trip to Neb.

Was reading up on the filter, so I guess it will be a drain and fill... I'll do it a couple of times to try to get mostly everything out of the Torque Converter.

Yeah, I don't bother dropping the pan to get at the filter. I just drain and refill roughly every 40k. If you haven't done it in a while I would do it and plan another soon to dilute the old fluid. I buy Toyota fluid for mine but many use other brands.

The flush methods are a bit risky and have some horror stories, dump and refill is pretty safe.

I'll just drain and re-fill, Thanks for the heads up.
