    Hello,
I'm the original owner of a 2003 V8 four wheel drive access cab. I have done all service on schedule. It is in great shape and I plan on keeping it "forever" as my home depot rig. I have never towed and it has 150,000 miles. I have recently read that some owners replace their transmission fluid every 30,000 miles. The transmission dipstick clearly states that I should leave it alone. I have no problems. I would be interested in opinions.
    Thanks

I figured you would based on your post. Looking for reassurance I'm assuming. If it were my truck, I would do a drain and fill on the transmission to replenish some of the friction modifiers in the fluid. Either way, your transmission will likely be fine, these are not prone to failure.

If you towed, yes. Otherwise every 60k miles according to the Toyota maintenance schedule booklet.
