Can any techs confirm this for me?

I was in the area of my local dealer/parts center and was due for an atf drain and fill, so I decided to buy a couple crush washers for the atf pan.

I asked the associate for an extra o ring for the 24mm fill plug and he looked confused and said, the transmission does not have a fill plug....

I didn't wanna argue so I just went about my day with my set of crush washers.

Now I can always be wrong, but is this not the fill plug on the left side of the transmission, you know the one that specifically says WS? Perhaps I've been filling my transmission wrong every single time (sarcasm).

Edit: this may not be the correct pic, but the fill plug for the 5.7s look similar, 24mm and have an o ring attached. Again, they have WS stamped on them too. The O ring is what I really wanted since mine is 5 years old.

You should be good then. I ordered a few of them from Fred Anderson a few months back to have on hand.

I have an o-ring in my garage for the fill plug if you like the part number for it. I’m not sure what that guy was referring to when he said that but definitely one is present lol

Kind of makes you wonder,,,. Many dealers don't stock that O ring, just tried a large dealer, no O ring, just drain washers and fluid. Last time I matched up the O ring at my ACE hardware ...

I'm fine sourcing the O ring elsewhere. I wasn't fine with the dealer parts monkey saying there wasn't a fill plug on the transmission. He even tried to make me feel bad saying that the guy he asked "has been doing this for 25 years a durr durr durr."

It got to the point where I had to tell him, I'm not here to listen to your resume, just give me the part I need lol
