Hi I need some help please.
    08 5.7 4x4 base model
So my transfer case is leaking from the rear seal .where the drive shaft attaches. I pulled the old one out and I'm having a difficult time getting the new seal in I've already gone through 2 new one's with the same issue, they seam to be just slightly to big and won't go in stright and ends up manged on one side.
The seals that I'm using are part # 90311-50039.
The seal that I took out has NOK. AH2854Q

Dose anyone have some insight one how to get it installed or if I'm using the wrong part. I did try lubing the seal first.

    Thanks for your help.

Is this the seal where the rear driveshaft attaches?

That part number looks like the seal for the front driveshaft attachment.

    The rear is 90311-50065

Thanks I've been having trouble finding a diagram. I also saw #90311-51008
Which is for transfer case adapter rear. I was just unsure.

The front is 2.801” outside diameter and the rear is 2.769”. It may not look like much sitting side by side but that is a pretty good difference. With the right size seal it should go pretty easy. I usually just use a hammer but you could use a pieces of pvc pipe or a large socket. For me, the hammer usually works fine. Just go slow and make sure it goes in even as you drive it in.

Make sure that the transfer case seal hole does not have any metal burs and is smooth since the other seal was giving you trouble before you try to install the new seal.
