***I WENT BACK A PAGE AND FOUND ANOTHER SIMILAR POST, don’t know how I missed it before***

I bought my truck last December and it now has 183k on it. There was no record of the fluid ever having been changed and I heard that changing the fluid at this point can actually ruin the transmission.
I searched on here and found a couple old topics about this, but I just want to clarify. Is the talked about method of changing half the fluid now and half again in six months or so a good workaround that will allow me to change the fluid and not lose all the grit that is holding my transmission together?

I want to keep driving this truck for a long time and it doesn’t feel right to me to not change the trans and diff fluids….
