Trans cooler help

Going to be putting Trans cooler on my 2020 CM gonna use the Hayden 689 cooler with OEM thermostat. My question is the lines coming off the thermostat should go to top or bottom of cooler? Thanks for any help

 

You want the ports on the cooler facing up, so the lines will come in from the top. This will force all the air out of the cooler relatively quickly.

 

Ok but still confused a little. Say top port on thermostat should go to witch port on the cooler ? If that makes sense. And say my ports on cooler will be on the left if facing the truck so I will have a low and high port

 

If you have the cooler with the ports facing the left. The top port of the thermostat should go to the lower port of the cooler. You want to pump ATF into the bottom of the cooler so that you get rid of all the air.
