Just bought a 2020 Tundra SX and gave up on my Tacoma. The Taco was a '18 Sport and was having a few issues plus I got a great deal on the Tundra. I really was starting to hate the Taco because of the lack of torque in the motor. Also it's one of the noisiest motors I've ever owned. Tundra has incredible power and is a lot more comfortable. Hopefully the hit on mileage won't be too bad.

Welcome to the fun! I get 11.5 mpg! Used to get 13, but lift, camper top, wheels and tires took that from me lol! Bad mileage aside, Tundras kick ass! Enjoy.

Welcome and congratulations on the new truck.

If your main concern is fuel economy, leave the truck as you purchased it.

Welcome, I traded my 2010 Taco 4cyl 5spd 4x4 a little over a month ago on a 17 tundra. Absolutely no regrets. An the mileage .. Meh I get 15.3 -15.5 ish.. The tanks much larger then the taco so I fill up about half as much an sure it cost more. But ultimately I hardly notice a difference..Well worth it for the power , size , compfort, added capability.. Enjoy

Welcome. Sometimes I miss my Taco (off-road, city, parking, gas pump) and sometimes I don't (interstate, towing). Enjoy your new truck.

Wlcome. And the mileage.......gasoline is inexpensive. Don't even think about it. Instead think about your great new truck.

Nice!! I know the 3.5L minivan motor gets better mileage than my 2nd gen 4.0L, but the difference between it and my Tundra is no big deal.

Only time I ever miss the Taco is off pavement. The solution was a quad that fits in the Tundra with the tailgate closed. Ha! Take that!!

My Tundra doesn't have enough payload to handle a quad in the bed. The Taco could have done it though. Just sayin...

Huh? My quad weighs around 550 lbs, no payload issue there.

Cool. The ones I looked at were about 700 and my Tundra only has 1000 lbs payload. My Taco was about 1300.

1395 lbs payload on my 4x4 doublecab, so you must have a crewmax. Even so, with a 700 lb ATV, you’re comfortably in the green the way I learnded maths?? Payload rating doesn’t include fuel in the tank or a (don’t quote me on the exact number) 175 lb driver. Double check with Manuel. Oops, I mean your manual. :)
