2 yrs 8 months in the 2022 Blueprint Platinum and 2 weeks ownership of the 2019 Black Platinum. Must say, I like the old body better, controls and the engine. I was going to get one of the low mileage 2.5 Gen's that were being traded in 2022 but I didn't. Got one now and can say I owned both and have the one I like now. Only thing I plan on doing to it is change out the wheels & tires. Debating on the Toyota TRD Pro 18". I'm not an off road person anymore since leaving Colorado. I'm looking more at the ride quality, which I think I can achieve more with a 18" wheel than a 20" - correct me if I'm wrong and/or have suggestions.

I should say that the ONLY 2 things I miss on the 2022 was the power running boards, much more functional for myself and my wife. I'm sure some will suggest the Amp Research power step - but in todays day and age I have a hard time believing that I have to tap into wires to get it to work. That just seems stupid to me and refuse to do it. Mechanically/Technically I can do it, I've taken cars completely apart and put back together, I just refuse to "tap" into wiring - that just never seems to turn out good in the long run (my opinion).

Secondly I liked the 360 camera, used it a lot & miss it.

Welcome from DFW, and yes the 18s should allow more sideways to absorb bumps. You can either go with the BBS Pro wheels or you can get some of the OR wheels in an 18 and paint or powdercoat black or whatever color you want. The OR should be a lot cheaper and easier to find but I also get the BBS wheels look sweet. The next will be not doing an E rated tire, if you can find a C in your size that should also help with ride comfort and most should still have no issues with the truck unless you normally load the bed up with a lot of weight (then you do probably want E rating still).

Eibach shocks would also improve on road comfort when you change them in the future (not sure mileage or if previous owner made suspension changes).

I wish it was easier and more affordable to add the 360 camera views. Would definitely be something I'd consider

The wheels I've seen in the picture below are what I think I'll get, but I have no idea the part # or what year Tundra they're from.

I liked the Nitto Recon Grappler that I put on my 2022 and will probably get them. I don't need a E rated tire as I do not tow anything nor do I consistently put heavy loads in the bed.

Wise choice! Now, add a Whipple blower and 5.29 gears so you can really leave all the turd gens in the dust and totally forget about missing anything.

    2021 Tundra TRD Pro Double-Cab
#197 2021 Tundra TRD Pro Double Cab ordered in it's final model year. You could only get a TRD Pro double cab in 2021 buy ordering one. I ordered five weeks before Toyota closed down orders for that year. I would argue my TRD Pro is one of the rarest Tundra's ever made. 285/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. RCI rock sliders Leer Tonneau Cover NSV Hood Mounted Lightbar. Genuine Cooling Systems Transmission Cooler (FU Toyota for taking the coolers off in the 1st place WTF) Suspension air bags for better towing.

Well done! I watched a youtube video the other day about the Tundra engine failures, and he said every 2022-2025 most likely will fail. He showed images of the burs and the absolute awful workmanship of these blocks, and how brand new engines made for the 2025 model years had not been corrected and there were dozens of engine failures already. One he mentioned in the video was a 2025 with 1251 miles on it. WTF Toyota!

2.5 gen is the last great Tundra. Toyota has burned the name to the ground.
