Not sure why this came on in my 2016 Tundra…and I watched some YouTube videos about how to turn it off…to no avail. I press the traction control button… and nothing….hold it down…& nothing. What does traction control do anyway?? Leave on or off?

maybe it’s cuz I have my check engine light on ….but that’s for an ignition coil that needs to be replaced??

It's associated with the CEL most likely. Check engine lights can have odd relationships with other systems like ABS, VSC, 4WD, etc.

It’s due to the CEL. Need to get whatever’s causing that resolved.

Can you clear the code you are getting? If so, does the TC warning clear?

Bluetooth OBDII dongle and use the torque app that's free...or go.to an autoparts store land they can sometimes help clear it at no charge...

Autozone coded it for me with their device.
