Hi all. I towed my 4k lb travel trailer about 2k miles over the past two weeks and my '21 CrewMax SR5 towed it great. However, the TPMS would cut out after about 30 minutes of driving while connected to the trailer pretty much all week. Disconnected there were no issues. I have just put a 1.5 in block lift and RAS HD System before we left and that's really the only change I've made in the rear. Ideas of what it could be? I'd like to know my tire pressures while towing and it's frustrating for it to cut out so often while connected to the trailer.

What do you run your tire pressures at, out of curiosity? What tires are they, and are they OEM size?

When you say your TPMS works with the trailer disconnected, do you mean just the trailer wiring unplugged, or after the trailer comes off the truck entirely?

Have you cleaned the 7-pin connection on both sides and used a little dielectric grease on the connector to be sure it slides together easy?

Does the trailer have it's own brakes, emergency breakaway cables for activation with battery, etc?

Do you use a wireless aftermarket reverse camera on the trailer?

Just trying to think of ways to narrow down what to check and things that might be interfering.

I had the front at 40 and the rear at 50. They are not OEM, I went with 34s in the Falken Wildpeak AT3 on the stock wheel. No problems when the 7-pin was disconnected and the pins are cleaned and greased. The trailer has it's own breaks controlled by the stock brake controller. There is no aftermarket camera on the trailer. I'm sure there is some sort of interference in the signal but I can't figure it out since the TPMS is a wireless system between the wheels and the sensor.

I wonder if the increased pressure is the problem, sending the TPMS out of range for the OEMs. Hmm.
