I got a set of takeoff TRD Pro wheels and tires that came without TPMS sensors, just old school valve stems. I knew that going in and have plans to get sensors installed soon. But I went and put the wheels on the truck and drove around about 7 miles and I am not getting a TPMS warning light, which I thought was odd. If I scroll the DIC over to the tire pressure readings they are indeed blank, as expected. But no warning light? And the app shows the pressures are "OK" and has the readings from the old wheels with the time mark of a couple hours ago when I parked it to do the wheel swap.

It will notice it. Most likely after you turn the truck off and turn back on.

I think it takes a longer period of driving before your light will come on. Assuming same behavior as the 3rd gen Tacoma - I would have to drive for about 20 minutes before the light would show up whenever switching to my winter set without TPMS.

Hopefully when you actually have a flat it responds in real time. I am guessing that maybe when it sees zero across the board at startup it goes into automatic learning mode and just takes some time to rest itself.
