There's a disclaimer note on Toytec's site that says installation of their shackles requires modifications to the TRD dual exhaust. Is this true or just a CYA thing they tell customers about?

And follow-up question if I may, does anyone have experience with their AAL option offered with the BOSS kit instead of the shackle? I used an AAL on my Jeep years ago, and the rear was still pretty saggy, and I ended up adding a shackle to correct it. I've been leery of using them again because of that, but I'm not sure if that apprehension is warranted. My jeep's rear was saggy before adding the AAL, and my Tundra's is not. So maybe it would be fine?...

Look how close your trd tip is to the stock shackles. The toytec is considerably wider

It isnt the width of the shackle, it is that it brings the leafs closer to the tailpipes. I have no jssues with the toytec's set at 1.5" and the trd duals. Even on the lift at discount tire and the axle at full droop there is clearance, not issuse's offroad for me either.

This makes sense. With the shackle, the exhaust is raised up along with the body of the truck, but the leafs remain in same place, so the exhaust ends up closer to the leafs.

We have seen the leaf pack get pushed down onto the TRD Exhaust. There has only been a couple cases... IF it happens, simply heat/ bend the exhaust hanger a little bit to help push the pipe down a tad bit more.
