I have replaced my front coil over shocks when I bought truck with oem new take offs. PITA but I was able to do it. Now I am installing new Toytech Boss coilover shocks. I got the shock in place and tightened up both ends after a lot of work and prayer. Now I cannot get top ball joint back in place on upper control arm? Truck is on stands and I am jacking under lower control arm . I can get it within six inches and get it the rest with a c clamp. But I cannot get nut on because clamp covers hole. With stock oem coilover shocks. I was able to do it this way .Oh yah .It is the hottest day of the year and I am in my driveway doing this. Any help would be great. Thanks. D

Wrap a ratchet strap around it in stead of a clamp. Tighten it down and you should be good.

Had the same problem with the lower ball joint bolts. I swear it was hours on two bolts!

Hmm don’t think I had this problem at all.
I unhooked the lower control arm from the spindle and just used the jack under the lca to close the gap.
