For those with this kit, how well are the shocks holding up in the miserable northern states with salt, etc??? The bilstein 5100's can look pretty rough after a few winters from the variety of vehicles ive seen them on up here, and the boss shocks look to be a similar finish/ coating. I'm going back and forth between this and the OME 612 in the near future, and think the finish on the OME's shocks will hold up better. I realize it's a small stupid OCD issue on my part, but pitted, rusty, corroded shocks would drive me crazy.
    Thanks

That is one thing I don't miss about Illinois and Michigan, is the salt and what it does to vehicles. I am OCD about that stuff as well, so you are not the only one.

Not on my Tundra, but my F350 with 5100s after two winters still looked decent despite salt exposure. I think the big thing was I washed it a lot in the winter(when it wasn't below freezing).

May look into a coating recommendation from @SouthBoundSteve for aluminum before installing and then something easy to apply after installation.

I look forward to retiring to somewhere this won't be an issue, but for now it's a stupid thing I have to deal with.

They're pro-types I believe. Literally just got them a few weeks ago. These would be great for the east coast guys or those who like to hit the beach.
