I'm planning to replace my 2nd gen(2010) Tundra Limited dbl cab 4x4(238K). Leaning towards another Limited double cab 4x4 with TRD Off Road package. While using Toyota's web site I see they offer a 3" lift package. I'm told by a dealership this is always a dealer installalled package (true?). More importantly I need to know if anyone on this forum has this lift package, and learn the pros and cons. I do a lot of off-roading in the Uinta Mtns of Utah and boulder strewn trails here are brutal. I'm not interested in after market lifts over concern of voiding the warranty.

Its a dealer install and varies based on the dealer. Most go the cheap route and use blocks and spacers. Which will not do well with your use. Normally they just slap the blocks and spacers on the stock shocks without getting longer travel components. You compromise a lot.

Talk to the dealership about your intended use and see what options they have that actually fit your needs.

Thanks for your reply. The Toyota part for their 3" lift package is PTCCY-34000, and retails for around $3100. Not low budget blocks and spacers. Its a fully integrated lift package from Toyota. Still hoping a few members here may have purchased this in the past and can provide feedback.

That is only for the new 3rd gen Tundra. Not sure how they will fit that your 2010 but do your research and it it makes sense, press forward.

As I re-read your original post. I see you are trading/selling and buying a new Tundra. Some reason that didn't click initially andbi thought you were just putting on new suspension.

That's correct; my 2010 Tundra is being retired. The kit would go onto a new 2023 or 2024 Tundra dbl-cab rather than a crewmax. The Toyota lift package seems the best way to achieve the suspension benefits of the TRD-PRO in a dbl-cab configuration, and at a cost far below that of the PRO. I know the cost of the kit, but am still trying to pin down the cost of having the dealer install the package on a new truck.
