Hey guys. I had larger tires (35/12.50/r18) put on my Toyota a month ago. The tires rubbed upper control so the tire dealer added 1½" spacers to front wheel hubs. After I picked truck up from shop, I noticed 4wd hi and 4wd low light blinking. I didn't think much about it because this is my hunting truck and it gets beat and banged on pretty hard and I could live with a blinking light. Well, the 1st time I needed 4wd the truck would not engage into 4wd. I looked online and so far I have replaced abs/ wheel speed sensors, and also taken the 4wd actuator off of the transfer case to replace it thinking it may be the problem. I connected 12 volts to the actuator and both 4 hi and 4lo work like they was supposed to. Put them back on truck and it still dont work. I had another guy tell me the wheel spacers would show the sensors that the front end was out of alignment and not let it engage, so I took off the spacers and put on a smaller size tire and it still does not engage. I m not a mechanic by any means but can do most of the simple stuff mentioned above. Any thoughts on where I could look next? Any help appreciated.
